Trident Growth Fund invests in established, well-managed companies, structuring mezzanine investments that finance growth, acquisitions, recapitalizations and buyouts. We think of ourselves as equity-oriented mezzanine investors, aligning our interests more closely with management and the shareholders. We do not invest in start-ups, project financing or real estate financing.

In the current economic environment, we understand the value of responding fast. Because of our firm’s structure and philosophy, we are able to make rapid investment decisions at every part of the process – evaluation of a business plan, negotiation and closing of a deal, analysis of an acquisition candidate, or plans for a follow-on investment.

In structuring our transactions, we are sensitive to the particular needs of each company and its management team and strive to offer the best possible financing solution. By structuring our investments as subordinated debt with equity, we provide an alternative to traditional options of equity investment and commercial lending. In addition, we have the versatility to offer follow-on investments to support strategic initiatives.

In evaluating opportunities, we tend to focus on companies located in the Southwest, primarily within Texas, but will explore select investments elsewhere within the United States.
